1.  CAN I PLACE MY ORDER BY PHONE:
No, orders need to be mailed with payment to our address on the printable order form.  Orders can be written on a separate
sheet of paper and mailed if you do  not have a printer.

2.  HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SHIP MY ORDER :
Shipping charges are listed at the bottom of the order form and on the chick ordering page.

3.  CAN I ORDER JUST PULLETS :
We do not sex chicks, they are sold as straight run only

4.  CAN I ORDER MY CHICKS NOW AND PAY FOR THEM WHEN THEY SHIP:
Orders will not be scheduled until they are paid for.

5.  DO YOU HAVE WYANDOTTES,  I DIDN'T SEE THEM ON THE ORDER PAGE:
If you do not see the poultry you are looking for on our order page, then we do not have it.  Check back often though as we do
add new breeds from time to time.

6.  ARE YOU NPIP CERTIFIED :
Yes we are NPIP certified in the state of Ohio.

7.  DO YOU SHIP TO HAWAII :
No, we do not ship to Hawaii, or SD or AK

8.  I LIVE IN YOUR STATE, CAN I PICK MY CHICKS UP TO AVOID HAVING SHIPPING THEM :
Yes.  We can not give tours because we are participants in the National Poultry Improvement Plan,  but we can arrange to meet
you for chick pickup.

9.  HOW MUCH DO THE CHICKS COST:
Prices are listed on the order form  for all chicks that are currently available.  If there is no price by the chicks you are interested
in they are may not be currently available.  

10.  HOW MANY CHICKS DO I HAVE TO ORDER AT ONE TIME :
The more chicks that are shipped together the better chance they have of staying warm enough to survive their trip.  Our
minimum order is
10 - day old chicks if they are being shipped, which can be made up of a combination of different breeds.

11.  I PAID FOR OVERNIGHT EXPRESS SHIPPING.  IT HAS BEEN 2 DAYS AND MY CHICKS HAVE NOT ARRIVED CAN I GET A
REFUND ON SHIPPING:
No, according to the US Postal service regulations it must be more than 3 days on live express shipments before you can get a
refund for late shipping.

12.  I CHECKED MY TRACKING NUMBER AND IT SAYS THE CHICKS ARE STILL IN OHIO WHERE ARE THEY?
Tracking numbers may or may not be update daily.  Sometimes they are not updated till your chicks arrive.  Please do not
contact us to ask
'where the chicks are' once they have been shipped.  We see the same information you see when you check
the tracking number.  We have no way of knowing where they are once we have dropped them off at the post office.  Please
contact us if it has been
longer than 3 days since your chicks shipped.

13.  SOME OF MY CHICKS DID NOT MAKE IT ALIVE:
The chicks safe arrival is very important to us.   Please take a camera to the post office with you.   If you suffer a loss of chicks
during transport, take pictures, have a postal worker validate the amount of chicks lost and  contact us as soon as the remaining
home chicks are safely in their new home so we can take care of the problem.   Please contact us within 24 hours.  We try to
add extra chicks when we ship,
no 'free' chicks will be refunded or replaced.    Shipping is never refunded, shipping is
charged on all replacement chicks
(replacement chicks are free, shipping is not).  

14.  Can I call to chat about chickens, I have questions about how to get started in the "Chicken
Business"
We are a working farm and spend most of our daytime hours outside.  Every minute we are on the phone is time taken
away from our birds.    While we are not a business advisor if you have a question that is not addressed here, email it to us
and we will try  to answer it.  If you have questions about where to buy the cheapest shipping boxes etc., please research
that information through the actual suppliers online as we do not sell shipping supplies.

Before ordering our imported Orpingtons

Please be aware, most of our Orpingtons are not yet accepted by the APA, and are very new to the USA.  While we strive to
produce superb quality birds, as in any breeding program,
 unwanted characteristics can show up from time to  time.
Unexpected characteristics influencing color,  leg feathering, combs etc.
If the purchase is solely for breeding or showing please remember not all birds produced will be
show or breeder quality.  As
in any breeding program, to achieve that perfect bird, culling is a necessity.
